SCHOOL BOARD

Our School Board consist of staff, parents and community members, that attend a Board meeting twice every term.

The Brabham Primary School (BPS) Board provides an important connection for the school to meaningfully engage with our community, parents, staff, and students. The Board also fulfils the key role of endorsing the School Plan for the year and noting the annual budget as well as noting the final draft of the School Annual Report. The Board works with the school to strengthen its ability to best meet the educational needs of all students.

The Brabham Primary School Board’s main role is to be involved in the governance of the school, which means playing a role in shaping and monitoring the school’s objectives, priorities and general directions.

It is not the Board’s role to manage the school – that is the Principal’s responsibility.

The Board participates in:

  • formulating, endorsing and annually reviewing the school’s Business Plan;
  • processes to review school performance;
  • processes to determine satisfaction levels of parents, staff and students;
  • endorsing the school’s annual report.

Members are appointed, and positions are advertised when available via school communication platforms.
