RESPONDING TO STUDENT BEHAVIOUR

We implement a whole school, evidence-based approach to student behaviour, supported by consistent Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) that promote proactive, positive and inclusive practices across all learning environments. Guided by components of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model, behaviour expectations are clearly defined and explicitly taught. Positive behaviour is consistently and frequently rewarded and celebrated.

Our restorative approach promotes self-regulation, accountability and the importance of repairing and strengthening relationships. Consistent language and approaches aim to improve student academic and behavioural outcomes by fostering high levels of student engagement.

We apply a multi-tiered response to behaviour, ensuring all students receive the level of support they need to succeed - whether through universal strategies, targeted interventions or intensive support.

Our responses to student behaviour are underpinned by Culturally Responsive practice and staff maintain open and honest communication that supports student behaviour.
